SAT/ACT extra time in Massachusetts

School extra time stops at the school door

The Team folder and the 504 folder stay on campus. College Board and ACT run a separate review. They want a recent comprehensive evaluation, a history of the disability, and a specific ask — extra time, breaks, a reader, a quieter room. The counselor cannot upload last year’s IEP and call it done.

Work from the published documentation date for that administration. Reviews lag. Families who finish the report the week of the cutoff often sit the test without supports.

Build a packet, not a score printout

Before you put down a deposit, ask whether this LEP has written SAT or ACT files and what the recommendations page looks like. The identification has to match the request. The scores have to show why standard timing fails. The accommodations have to be copyable onto the company’s form.

This directory does not pre-clear anyone with the testing companies. No listing is a shortcut through review. If the first file comes back with questions, you want a revision in the contract — not a shrug after the denial.
